2. On the 20th of August there will be a Memorial Service for the late John Olcay of Keiss Castle. John and his wife Phebe attended church regularly when they were staying at Keiss Castle and made many friends here in Keiss. All are very welcome to attend the service to celebrate John’s life.

Anyone from Keiss to Castletown is welcome. It would involve people of all ages and skills. Everyone would have something to offer. People needed would include actors, musicians, stage hands, scenery makers and painters, costume makers, someone to make the tea etc. etc. The benefits would be building community / teamwork, building confidence in children and adults and just having fun. 2.    There will be a Canisbay Board and Session Meeting in the church hall on Tuesday the 18th of November at 7.00 pm.
3.    Today marks the start of Guild Week and at a special Guild Week Praise service yesterday, backpacks from Guilds throughout Caithness were collected together.
Canisbay Church Guild and friends donated a staggering total of 17 filled backpacks plus many
additional items.  Thankyou to all Guild members and to Isobel Dunnet and Nancy for a wonderful and generous response to a very worthwhile project.
